Dell Latitude E6420 14.1" laptop

The Dell Latitude E6420 is a 14.1-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-2520M dual-core processor running at 2.50 GHz. It comes with 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 128 GB 2.5-inch SSD for fast boot times. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed, and the chassis includes a DVD±RW drive, HDMI and VGA outputs, a webcam and a Trusted Platform Module security chip.

Compatibility checklist

Verify that your peripherals connect via the available ports: HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet and USB. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 drives the 1366 x 768 LED display and external monitors. Wireless networking uses the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 adapter. The system ships with Windows 10 Pro, so ensure your software licences are compatible with this operating system.

Build integration

The 128 GB SSD leaves the 2.5-inch drive bay occupied, so additional internal storage would require an external solution. Two SODIMM slots support up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory if a future upgrade is needed. The laptop includes a DVD±RW drive for optical media and a TPM chip for hardware-based encryption. Its compact 14.1-inch form factor suits mobile professionals who need legacy ports and a durable chassis.
