Integrated Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 wireless and Gigabit Ethernet give flexible network access. A built-in webcam supports video calls.

Suits users needing a basic Windows 10 laptop

This configuration fits students or office staff who require a pre-loaded Windows 10 Pro system, a physical disc drive and dual display outputs for presentations. Buyers who want more storage capacity, a solid-state drive, a touchscreen or a dedicated graphics processor should look at other models.

Questions about this item

Can the 4 GB DDR3 memory be upgraded later?

Yes, the laptop supports up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM using two slots, so the existing 2 GB x 2 modules can be replaced with higher-capacity sticks.

What limits sustained performance first, the processor or the hard drive?

The 320 GB mechanical hard drive is the primary bottleneck during prolonged workloads, as its rotational latency slows data access compared to solid-state storage.

How loud or hot does the system get when running all day?

The dual-core i5-2520M and integrated graphics produce moderate heat; the single fan spins up audibly under continuous load but remains within typical office noise levels.
