Dell Latitude E6530 business laptop

The Dell Latitude E6530 is a 15.6 inch business laptop powered by a 2.90GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processor. It comes with 8GB DDR3 memory and a 2.5 inch 512GB solid state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and a DVD-RW drive is included.

Suited for office work not heavy graphics

This configuration suits professionals who need a reliable machine for documents, email and web browsing with the security of a Trusted Platform Module chip. The integrated graphics and 1366 x 768 HD display are not intended for video editing, 3D rendering or modern gaming.

8GB DDR3 memory is not user-expandable beyond 16GB

The single specification that decides fit is the 8GB DDR3 memory ceiling of 16GB. Buyers who anticipate running virtual machines, large databases or memory-intensive creative suites should look at a platform that supports higher capacity.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.5" 512 GB SSD stay cool and quiet during all-day use?

The solid-state drive has no moving parts so it runs silently and generates very little heat compared with a mechanical disk.

What must I already own to start working with the E6530?

Only the AC adapter that matches the laptop's power input is required; Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Can I keep using my older VGA monitor with the E6530?

Yes, the laptop includes a VGA output alongside HDMI so legacy displays connect directly.
