Compact business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7250 is a 12.5-inch mainstream laptop built for business use. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor at 2.3GHz with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 256GB mSATA SSD. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives the 1366 x 768 non-touch display. Connectivity includes three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n wireless, an SD card reader and a webcam.

Mobile professionals seeking a tested unit

This grade B system suits travellers and office workers who need a lightweight, durable chassis with solid peripheral connectivity for external displays and wired networking. The 8GB memory ceiling of 16GB and integrated graphics limit heavy creative workloads or modern gaming. Buyers who want a pristine cosmetic appearance or a higher-resolution touchscreen should look elsewhere.

Everyday productivity with modest headroom

The 256GB SSD provides fast boot and application loading for typical office suites, web browsing and video conferencing. Memory can be doubled to 16GB for smoother multitasking with larger datasets. The dual-core processor and integrated graphics run out of steam with intensive rendering, compilation or contemporary 3D titles. The 1366 x 768 panel also restricts multi-window workflows compared to higher-density screens.
