Ultraportable Latitude E7250

The Dell Latitude E7250 is a 12.0-inch business laptop powered by a 2.90 GHz Intel Core i7 dual-core fifth-generation processor. It ships with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 256GB SSD running Windows 10 Professional 64-bit. The compact chassis includes 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Mobile professionals who need a lightweight 12-inch system with solid-state speed for office applications will find this configuration ready to use. Buyers who require a touchscreen display or dedicated graphics hardware for creative workloads should consider other options.

Memory ceiling that defines the upgrade path

Two memory slots support a maximum of 16GB DDR3 so the installed 8GB can be doubled when heavier multitasking is needed. The 256GB SSD provides the primary storage with no secondary drive bay available.

Questions about this item

How is the 256GB SSD installed in the Latitude E7250, and which step is often missed?

The drive fits into the internal slot after removing the base cover; the step often missed is re-seating the battery connector before closing the case.

What maintenance or replacement will the 8GB DDR3 memory need later?

The two slots support up to 16GB total, so adding another 8GB module is the typical upgrade path when more capacity is required.

What limit appears first during sustained use on the Intel HD Graphics?

Thermal throttling on the dual-core processor reduces clock speeds before the graphics subsystem reaches its own ceiling.
