Compact business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7250 is a 12.5-inch work device built around a dual-core Intel Core i7-5600U running at 2.60 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD, and Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and activated. The non-touch display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution in a black chassis.

Upgrade from older ultraportables

The solid-state drive and 8 GB of RAM replace mechanical storage and lower memory capacities found in earlier thin-and-light models. The jump is worthwhile when daily workloads involve multiple browser tabs, office suites and frequent travel where quick wake times and silent operation matter. Buyers who need more storage or a higher-resolution panel should look elsewhere.

Capacity and headroom

The 256 GB SSD comfortably holds the operating system, productivity applications and a moderate local file library. The 8 GB memory handles typical multitasking such as document editing, email and video conferencing without paging. Intensive creative suites, large datasets or virtual machines will exhaust the available headroom.
