Ultra-portable business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7250 is a 12.5-inch ultra-portable laptop built for professionals who travel often. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor at 2.3 GHz with 8GB DDR3 memory and a 128GB mSata SSD. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives the 1366 x 768 non-touch display.

Mobile workers needing HDMI and DisplayPort

This unit suits mobile workers who need HDMI and mini DisplayPort outputs for projectors or external monitors plus Gigabit Ethernet and three USB 3.0 ports. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a higher resolution panel or more than 16GB maximum memory should look elsewhere.

128GB mSata SSD capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 128GB mSata SSD capacity. If your applications and local files exceed this space you will need external storage or a different laptop.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Core i5-5300U get when the laptop runs all day?

The dual-core Broadwell chip is rated at a low thermal design power, so fan noise stays modest and surface temperatures remain comfortable during extended office workloads.

What cables or peripherals must I already have to use the video outputs?

You need an HDMI cable for the full-size HDMI port and a mini DisplayPort cable or adapter for the mini DisplayPort if you plan to connect external monitors or projectors.

Will my older USB 2.0 flash drives and wired mouse work with the three USB 3.0 ports?

Yes, the three USB 3.0 ports are fully backward-compatible, so legacy USB 2.0 devices plug in and function without any extra drivers or hubs.
