Business Ultrabook with Dual SSD Storage

The Dell Latitude E7440 is a 14.0 inch FHD touchscreen Ultrabook aimed at professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine for daily office work. Its dual-core Intel Core i5-4300U processor and 8 GB of DDR3 memory handle typical productivity applications and web-based tasks. The 512 GB mSATA SSD hosts the operating system while a 1 TB 2.5 inch SSD provides additional space for files and projects.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous workloads the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400 and the 1.6 to 1.9 GHz processor maintain steady performance for document editing, spreadsheet calculation and video playback. The dual SSD arrangement keeps boot times short and file access consistent even when the drives are heavily used. Thermal management in the 7000 series chassis prevents throttling during extended sessions typical of a business day.

Compatibility Checklist

Verify that your existing peripherals connect via the available HDMI and VGA outputs before ordering. Confirm that 8 GB of DDR3 SODIMM memory meets your application requirements because the configuration is fixed at 4 GB x 2 modules. Ensure the 14 inch 1920 x 1080 touchscreen format suits your workflow and that Windows 10 Pro aligns with your software licensing.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Core i5-4300U get when the 14" touchscreen runs at 1920 x 1080 all day?

The dual-core i5-4300U operates between 1.6 and 1.9 GHz with integrated HD 4400 graphics, so typical office workloads keep fan noise low and surface temperatures modest.

Which DDR3 modules must I already have to reach the installed 8 GB capacity?

The system ships with two 4 GB DDR3 SODIMMs; matching that speed and form factor is required for any memory upgrade.

Can the HDMI and VGA outputs drive a second monitor while the built-in 14.0" FHD panel stays active?

Yes, the integrated Intel HD 4400 graphics support simultaneous output on the internal display and either external port for extended or mirrored desktop modes.
