14.0" HD Latitude E7450

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0-inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5200U dual-core processor running at 2.20 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.70 GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1TB SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed, making it ready for general office and web tasks.

Dual-core build with SATA storage

The system uses a dual-core Intel Core i5-5200U paired with Intel HD Graphics 5500 for integrated visuals. Storage is handled by a 2.5-inch SATA SSD, leaving no mechanical drive bay occupied. Two memory slots are present with 8GB installed, allowing expansion up to 16 GB total DDR3 capacity.

1TB SSD and 16 GB memory ceiling

The new 1TB SSD provides substantial space for applications and large file libraries. The 8GB of installed DDR3 handles typical multitasking, while the two slots support a maximum of 16 GB for heavier workloads. The HD 1366 x 768 non-touch display and integrated graphics limit suitability for high-resolution creative work or modern gaming.

Questions about this item

How long does the 2.70 GHz turbo frequency hold before the i5-5200U throttles?

The dual-core i5-5200U runs at 2.20 GHz base with a 2.70 GHz turbo; sustained loads will drop toward base frequency as the cooling system manages heat.

What fan noise level should I expect from the cooling system during an all-day workload?

The Latitude E7450 uses a compact fan that becomes audible under continuous load; in a quiet room it is noticeable but not disruptive for office tasks.

Which memory type must I already have to upgrade the 8 GB to the 16 GB maximum?

The two slots accept DDR3 modules; matching the existing 8 GB DDR3 stick lets you reach the 16 GB supported limit.
