Ready-to-deploy business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 ships as a complete 14-inch system with an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor running at 2.30 GHz and a turbo frequency of 2.90 GHz. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR3 memory and a new 1TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD are already installed. No operating system is included so the buyer supplies their own licence.

Fits standard IT workflows

The 1366 by 768 HD non-touch display keeps power draw modest while the integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles office applications and video playback. Two memory slots exist but the 16GB maximum is already reached, leaving storage expansion as the only internal upgrade path. Bluetooth and a webcam are present for conferencing without extra peripherals.

Suits fleets needing a managed OS image

Organisations that maintain a standard Windows or Linux image can install it directly on the blank drive. Buyers who want a pre-loaded operating system, a higher-resolution panel, touchscreen input or discrete graphics should look at a different model. The 365-day parts and labour warranty covers the hardware after deployment.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.30 GHz i5-5300U throttle under sustained load?

The dual-core processor reaches 2.90 GHz turbo but will reduce clocks when thermal limits are reached during prolonged heavy work.

How loud and hot does the E7450 get during all-day use?

The 14.0" chassis relies on a single fan; expect audible airflow and warm palm rests when the Intel HD Graphics 5500 and CPU run continuously.

What operating system must I supply before the laptop is usable?

No operating system is installed; you must provide your own Windows or Linux licence and installation media.
