Business-ready ultraportable

The Lenovo ThinkPad T450s is a 14.0-inch laptop built for professionals and students who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine. Its slim black chassis houses a 5th generation Intel Core i5 5300U dual-core processor running at 2.3 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles the visual output on a non-touch anti-glare display.

Capacity and headroom

8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 256 GB SSD provide enough space for office suites, web browsing and light multitasking. The 1366 x 768 resolution screen suits document work but limits detailed creative editing. Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 and Gigabit Ethernet keep network connections steady. The system runs out of steam with heavy video rendering, modern gaming or large virtual machines.

Upgrade path

This unit replaces an older hard-drive laptop or a thicker 14-inch notebook where responsiveness and weight matter. The jump is worth it when moving from a spinning drive to solid-state speed and a newer CPU generation. Buyers who want more storage, a higher-resolution panel, discrete graphics or modern connectivity standards should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0 inch 1366 x 768 screen and USB 3 ports work with my older 1080p monitor and USB 2.0 keyboard?

Yes, the USB 3 ports are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices, and the integrated Intel HD 5500 graphics can drive an external 1080p display via the video output.

How can I verify the Core i5 5300U and 8GB DDR3 are running correctly after installing Windows 10 Pro?

Open Task Manager to confirm the 2.30GHz dual-core processor shows two cores with four logical processors and that 8GB of memory is detected.

Does the box include a power adapter for the 256GB SSD model or must I buy one separately?

The laptop ships with a 65W AC adapter, a 45Wh internal battery, and the Windows 10 Pro licence; no extra purchase is required to start working.
