Compact business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0" HD notebook built for everyday office work and mobile professionals. It runs on an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor with a 2.90 GHz turbo frequency and 8GB of DDR3 memory. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Chassis and connectivity

The black chassis houses a NEW 128GB 2.5" SATA SSD for fast boot and application loading. Two memory slots allow expansion up to 16 GB if workloads grow. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives the 1366 x 768 non-touch display, while Bluetooth and a webcam support wireless peripherals and video calls.

Thermals and power

The ultra-low-voltage i5-5300U at 2.30 GHz base clock keeps heat output modest during typical productivity tasks. Fan noise stays low in normal use, and the solid-state drive eliminates mechanical drive vibration. This combination supports all-day battery operation for standard office workloads.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.5-inch SATA interface on this E7450 limit the 128GB SSD to SATA speeds?

Yes, the 128GB SSD connects through a 2.5-inch SATA interface, so its maximum transfer rate is capped at the SATA bus limit.

What drive height does the internal bay accept for the 2.5-inch SATA slot?

The laptop uses a standard 2.5-inch SATA bay; the supplied 128GB SSD fits that form factor.

How is the 128GB SSD installed, and what step do people often miss?

Remove the base cover, slide the 2.5-inch SATA drive into the bay, secure it with the caddy screws, then reconnect the battery before closing the chassis.
