Thermals and power in daily use

The Intel Core i5 5th Gen processor runs at a minimum 2.30GHz base speed. Integrated graphics handle the 1920x1080 FHD LED panel without a discrete GPU. This configuration keeps heat and fan noise low during typical office workloads.

Memory and storage fit

16GB of RAM is installed for multitasking headroom. The 256GB M.2 SSD offers a usable range of 240GB to 256GB. Buyers who want more storage or a touchscreen should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I add memory to the 16 GB already installed in the Latitude E7450?

The specifications list 16 GB as the installed memory, so no further installation is needed; if you still open the chassis, the step often missed is reconnecting the battery cable before reassembly.

Which component will need replacement first under heavy daily use on this E7450?

The 256 GB M.2 SSD is the part most likely to wear out first because it handles all read-write cycles for the operating system and applications.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained loads on the Core i5 5th Gen 2.30 GHz processor?

The CPU will hit its thermal throttle point before any other component, reducing clock speeds to stay within safe temperature limits.
