Latitude E7450 14-inch business laptop

This Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for everyday office work and mobile professionals. It runs Windows 10 Home on an Intel Core i5 5th Gen processor with a base speed of 2.20GHz. The system includes 8GB of memory and a 128GB solid-state drive for the operating system and applications. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles the 1366 x 768 Wide UXGA display.

Sustained workload behaviour

The dual-core processor maintains its 2.20GHz clock during typical productivity tasks such as document editing, web browsing and video conferencing. With 8GB of installed RAM across two slots, multitasking remains responsive for standard business workloads. The solid-state drive keeps boot times and application launches consistent without the latency spikes of a mechanical hard drive. Integrated graphics share system memory, so heavy visual tasks will reduce available RAM for other processes.

Deciding specification: 128GB SSD capacity

The 128GB solid-state drive is the limiting factor for local storage; actual usable space may range from 120GB to 128GB after formatting and the recovery image. Users who keep large media libraries, project archives or multiple virtual machines on the device will need external or cloud storage. Buyers who want more storage on the internal drive should consider a different configuration. The M.1 form factor allows a future upgrade if the chassis supports a larger module.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Core i5 5th Gen get when the Dell Latitude E7450 runs all day?

The 2.20GHz Intel Core i5 5th Gen with integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 is a low-power mobile processor, so fan noise stays modest and surface temperatures remain comfortable during extended office workloads.

What must I already own to start using this 14.0" laptop right away?

Only the included Windows 10 Home licence and power adapter are required; the 8GB memory and 128GB M.1 SSD are already installed, and the non-touch 1366 x 768 screen needs no extra cables.

Will my older USB 2.0 mouse and external hard drive work with the three USB ports on this E7450?

Yes, the three USB ports are backward-compatible, so USB 2.0 peripherals such as a mouse or mechanical drive will connect and function normally.
