Dell Latitude E7450 14" HD laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor running at 2.30 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.90 GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 128GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. No operating system is installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits users who need a compact 1366 x 768 display, integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500, and a SATA-based boot drive for legacy software or light office tasks. It is not for buyers who require a touchscreen, a discrete graphics processor, more than 16 GB of memory, or an operating system pre-installed.

The specification that decides fit

The single specification that decides fit is the 128GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD; the system drive uses the SATA interface and the 2.5 inch form factor, so any storage upgrade or clone must match that interface and physical size.

The chassis fits one 2.5" SATA SSD; the 128 GB unit is the single drive installed and no second bay is present.

What does the 2.30 GHz base clock mean for everyday tasks?

The dual-core i5-5300U runs at 2.30 GHz and boosts to 2.90 GHz, handling web browsing, office apps and video playback smoothly.

Which interface does the 128 GB SSD use and what speed does it limit?

The drive connects via SATA, capping sequential reads and writes at the interface's standard 6 Gbit/s ceiling.
