Business-ready 14" laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14-inch Windows 10 Home laptop built around an Intel Core i5 dual-core processor running at 2.90 GHz. It ships with 4 GB of DDR3 memory and a 500 GB SATA hard drive, aimed at office workers and students who need a familiar desktop experience on a mainstream chassis.

Wireless and port reality

The system relies on 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN and Bluetooth for connectivity, which limits peak throughput compared with newer Wi-Fi standards. A single USB port is provided, so users who need multiple peripherals at once will require a hub or dock to expand the available connections.

Chassis and upgrade path

The black non-touch enclosure houses two memory slots supporting up to 16 GB, allowing a straightforward RAM upgrade when workloads grow. No optical drive is fitted, keeping the profile slim, while the integrated webcam supports video calls without extra hardware.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 4 GB DDR3 version or upgrade to the 16 GB maximum?

The unit comes with 4 GB DDR3 installed in one of two slots; the board supports up to 16 GB total, so you can add a module later if you need more memory.

What does the 2.90 GHz Intel i5 Dual Core Gen 5 actually deliver in daily work?

The 2.90 GHz dual-core processor handles web browsing, office applications and video playback smoothly; heavier multitasking will benefit from a memory upgrade.

How does the 500 GB SATA drive perform compared to faster interfaces?

The 500 GB SATA hard drive provides ample space for documents and media, though its rotational speed makes boot and load times slower than solid-state storage.
