14-inch FHD business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0-inch Full HD laptop built for everyday office work. It runs on an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor with a base speed of 2.30 GHz and a turbo frequency of 2.90 GHz. The system includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 128GB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Suits mobile professionals.

This configuration suits professionals who need a reliable, portable machine for document editing, email and web-based applications. The 8GB of RAM and integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handle standard productivity tasks smoothly. Buyers who want more storage capacity or discrete graphics performance for video editing, 3D rendering or modern gaming should look at something else.

8GB RAM and 128GB SSD with 16GB ceiling

The installed 8GB of DDR3 memory provides comfortable headroom for typical multitasking with office suites and browser tabs. The 128GB SSD offers fast boot and application loading for a core set of programs and files. Memory can be expanded to a maximum of 16GB across two slots when workloads grow, while the single 2.5-inch SATA drive bay limits internal storage expansion to one drive.

Questions about this item

Does this laptop need an external monitor or can I use the built-in 14.0" FHD screen right away?

The 14.0" FHD panel runs at 1920 x 1080 and is non-touch, so you can start working immediately without any extra display.

Will my existing DDR3 memory modules fit the two slots inside this Latitude E7450?

Yes, the system uses DDR3 SO-DIMMs across two slots and supports up to 16 GB total, so your current sticks will work if they match that spec.

How can I verify the Intel Core i5-5300U is hitting its 2.90 GHz turbo after I set up Windows 10 Pro?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab and watch the CPU frequency climb to 2.90 GHz under load; the Intel HD Graphics 5500 will also appear there.
