This Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-5600U processor. It comes with 16GB DDR3 memory and a new 128GB SATA SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. The dual-core CPU reaches a 3.20 GHz turbo frequency.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The 1920 x 1080 non-touch screen and integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 suit office work and video conferencing. Buyers who need more storage than 128GB or a dedicated graphics processor should consider other options. The memory is fixed at the 16GB maximum.

The specification that decides fit

The 128GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD determines whether this machine meets your capacity and interface requirements. It provides solid-state speed but a fixed 128GB limit with no second drive bay mentioned. Verify that this storage size and SATA connection match your workload before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What speed does the 2.5" SATA interface limit the 128GB SSD to in practice?

The SATA connection caps the 128GB SSD at standard SATA throughput, so sequential reads and writes will not exceed that bus limit.

What drive bay and screw pattern does the 128GB 2.5" SATA SSD need to fit this 14.0" Latitude E7450?

It fits the internal 2.5" SATA bay using the laptop's native mounting points; no caddy or adapter is required.

How is the 128GB SATA SSD installed, and which step do people often miss?

Remove the bottom cover, slide the drive into the SATA connector until it clicks, then secure it with the retaining screws before reassembling.
