Business ultrabook for mobile professionals

The Latitude E7450 is a 14.0-inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-5600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.20 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1 TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Windows 10 Pro and new storage ready to work

The operating system provides enterprise-grade management features such as BitLocker and domain join out of the box. A fresh 1 TB SSD eliminates the mechanical wear of a traditional hard drive and gives ample space for local files and applications. No additional software licences are required for core productivity.

Compact chassis with everyday connectivity

The black non-touch display measures 1366 x 768 pixels and is driven by Intel HD Graphics 5500 integrated graphics. Two memory slots are present, though the 16 GB maximum is already reached. Standard ports support external monitors, wired networks and USB peripherals for desk-based work. Not suited for buyers who need a higher-resolution panel, discrete graphics or user-upgradeable memory beyond the factory limit.

Questions about this item

Is the 16 GB DDR3 memory soldered or can a module be swapped later?

Two slots exist and the maximum supported is 16 GB, so both slots are already filled; upgrading means replacing one or both modules.

What thermal limit appears first when the i7-5600U runs at its 3.20 GHz turbo for long periods?

The dual-core processor will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle clock speeds before the cooling system can dissipate the sustained load.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel during an all-day workload?

Under continuous load the fan spins up to an audible level and the bottom case becomes noticeably warm, typical for a 14.0" ultrabook chassis.
