Dell Latitude E7470 14" FHD Business Notebook

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a new 240GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. No operating system is installed.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

This notebook suits buyers who want a compact 14 inch business-class device with a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display and integrated Intel HD Graphics 520. It does not suit users who need a dedicated graphics processor, a touchscreen panel, more than 16 GB of total memory, or a pre-installed operating system.

The Specification That Decides Fit

The single specification that decides fit is the 240GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD; the laptop has no additional drive bays and the memory ceiling is 16 GB across two slots, so storage expansion requires replacing this drive.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.5-inch SATA 240GB SSD work in a laptop that only has an M.2 slot?

The 240GB SSD uses a 2.5-inch SATA form factor, so it requires a 2.5-inch drive bay and will not fit an M.2-only slot.

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-6600U is reaching its 3.40 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Use a monitoring tool such as Intel XTU or HWMonitor to watch the core clocks while running a sustained workload; the processor should hit 3.40 GHz when thermal headroom allows.

Does the package include a Windows licence or recovery media for the Latitude E7470?

The laptop ships with no operating system and no recovery media; you must supply your own Windows licence or alternative OS installation media.
