Ready-to-deploy business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0-inch HD notebook built for professionals who need a clean hardware baseline. It ships with an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor running at 2.40 GHz with a 3.00 GHz turbo frequency, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a new 2 TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. No operating system is installed, so the buyer supplies their own Windows or Linux image.

Fits standard IT workflows

The 1366 x 768 non-touch display and Intel HD Graphics 520 handle office applications, video calls and light content work without a discrete GPU. Two memory slots support up to 16 GB total for future upgrades, while the 2.5-inch SATA bay is already filled with the 2 TB drive. Integrated Bluetooth and a webcam cover peripheral and conferencing needs out of the box.

Cool and quiet for desk use

The low-power U-series chip and integrated graphics keep thermal output modest during typical productivity loads, allowing the cooling system to run quietly in open-plan offices. Power draw stays low compared with larger workstations, reducing strain on fleet power budgets. The 365-day parts and labour warranty covers the hardware platform for a full year.

Questions about this item

Does the dual-core i5-6300U throttle under long workloads?

The processor runs at 2.40 GHz base with a 3.00 GHz turbo; sustained loads will sit at or near the base clock once thermal limits are reached.

How loud or hot does the chassis get during all-day use?

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 and a low-power CPU keep heat modest; the single fan stays quiet under typical office tasks.

Is an operating system included or must I supply my own?

No operating system is installed; you will need to provide and install Windows or another OS yourself.
