Product Identity

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0" HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6650U processor running at 2.20 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. It comes with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a new 128GB SSD using a 2.5" SATA interface. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed on this new device.

Suitability

This dual-core system suits professionals who need a portable Windows 10 machine for office applications, web browsing and video conferencing via the integrated webcam. Buyers who require a touchscreen, a higher resolution display or a dedicated graphics processor should consider other options. The memory is already at the 16GB maximum supported by the platform.

Deciding Specification

The 128GB SATA SSD capacity is the critical figure that determines whether this laptop meets your storage requirements. It provides space for the operating system and essential programs but leaves little room for large media libraries or project files. Verify that this capacity aligns with your workload before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 128 GB SATA SSD or add a larger drive?

The 128 GB 2.5" SATA SSD is the only drive installed; the laptop has no HDD bay, so extra capacity means replacing this SSD.

How does the 2.20 GHz base and 3.40 GHz turbo feel in daily work?

The dual-core i7-6650U runs at 2.20 GHz and boosts to 3.40 GHz, giving snappy response for office apps and light multitasking.

What does the SATA interface limit for this 128 GB SSD?

The 2.5" SATA link caps sequential speed at the SATA III ceiling, so the 128 GB SSD delivers standard SATA read/write rates.
