Latitude E7470 14" HD Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14-inch business laptop with a 1366 x 768 HD display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor with a base speed of 2.20 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. The system includes 8GB of DDR4 memory and a new 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Suits Mobile Professionals Needing High Storage

This laptop suits professionals who need a portable 14.0" device with a large 2TB solid-state drive for local files and applications. The dual-core i7 processor handles typical office workloads and multitasking within the 8GB memory limit. Buyers who need a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel, or more than 16 GB of total memory should look at other models. The integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 is not intended for heavy 3D rendering or modern gaming titles.

2TB 2.5" SATA SSD Determines Upgrade Path

The single specification that decides fit is the 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD, which sets both the storage capacity and the physical interface for future drive changes. The two memory slots support up to 16 GB total DDR4 RAM. The 1366 x 768 HD non-touch screen and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit operating system complete the core configuration. Verify that the SATA form factor matches any replacement drive requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise does the i7-6650U produce when the Latitude E7470 runs all day?

The dual-core i7-6650U runs at 2.20 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo, so sustained workloads stay within a low-power envelope that keeps fan noise modest and surface temperatures comfortable for lap use.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to start using the 14.0" HD display and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit?

The laptop includes its own 1366 x 768 screen, keyboard, trackpad and Windows 10 Pro licence, so only the supplied power adapter is needed to begin working.

Will my older SATA 2.5" drives work inside the Latitude E7470 alongside the installed 2TB SSD?

The storage bay uses a standard 2.5" SATA interface, so any legacy 2.5" SATA SSD or hard drive can be swapped in or added if a second caddy is fitted.
