Ready-to-use business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0" HD notebook powered by an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor at 2.40 GHz with a 3.00 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a new 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. No operating system is installed, so the buyer provides their own Windows or Linux licence.

Capacity and headroom

The 16GB DDR4 configuration reaches the platform maximum of 16 GB, leaving no internal slots for further expansion. The 240GB SSD handles the OS, core applications and active project files, while large media libraries or virtual-machine images will require external storage. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1366 x 768 panel and supports light productivity workloads.

Bundled essentials

A 365-day parts and labour warranty covers hardware defects from the day of purchase. The package includes the laptop, a new M.2 NVMe SSD already fitted, and the AC adapter required for operation. No recovery media, licence key or pre-loaded software are supplied.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" 1366x768 display and Intel HD Graphics 520 work with my older VGA projector using a simple adapter?

The laptop uses modern digital video outputs; a passive VGA adapter will not work. You need an active DisplayPort-to-VGA or HDMI-to-VGA converter that draws power from the port.

How can I verify the i5-6300U is hitting its 3.00 GHz turbo and the 240GB NVMe drive is healthy after I install an OS?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab to watch CPU frequency reach 3.00 GHz under load, and run the drive vendor's SMART tool or CrystalDiskInfo to confirm the NVMe SSD reports good health.

Does the box include a power adapter and are the two DDR4 slots already filled by the 16GB?

The 16GB DDR4 occupies both memory slots, so no RAM upgrade is possible. A 65W Dell barrel-tip AC adapter is included; no operating system licence or recovery media is supplied.
