Dell Latitude E7470 14 laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 14 laptop is a business ultrabook built around an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.6 GHz. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. The 14.0 inch non-touch FHD panel resolves 1920 x 1080. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the display and external outputs. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed. It suits mobile professionals who need a thin, light chassis with solid connectivity.

Installation and common issues

The unit arrives as a complete laptop with charger and battery included; no internal assembly is required. Initial setup follows the standard Windows 10 out-of-box experience. The M.2 NVMe SSD is already installed, so there is no drive caddy to fit. Upgrading memory later means opening the base cover to access the SO-DIMM slots. Some users report the 802.11n wireless module can feel slow on modern networks; a USB Wi-Fi adapter is a simple workaround.

Deciding specification — 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD

The single specification that decides fit is the 512 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. It determines both the storage ceiling and the boot-and-load responsiveness of the system. Buyers who need more capacity or a second drive bay should look elsewhere because the chassis offers only this single M.2 slot. If the 512 GB figure matches the workload, the rest of the specification follows.
