Built for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor with a 2.40 GHz base and 3.00 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a new 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. No operating system is installed, so the buyer provides their own Windows or Linux environment.

Expands storage without extra bays

The single M.2 slot holds the 2TB NVMe drive, leaving no free 2.5 inch bay for a second drive. Two memory slots exist but both are populated at the 16 GB maximum, so RAM cannot be increased. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles the 1920 x 1080 non-touch panel without a discrete GPU slot.

Sustained output stays consistent

Under continuous load the U-series processor maintains its turbo within the slim chassis thermal envelope. The 520 graphics share system memory, so extended compute or video tasks run without a separate fan curve for a discrete chip. The 365 day parts and labour warranty covers the platform during prolonged daily use.

Questions about this item

Will the i5-6300U throttle under sustained full-load workloads?

The dual-core processor runs at a 2.40 GHz base and can reach 3.00 GHz turbo, so thermal limits will appear first during extended heavy use.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the system runs all day?

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 and the 14.0" FHD panel keep power draw modest, so fan noise and surface temperature stay low during typical office tasks.

Do I need to supply my own operating-system licence and installation media?

Yes, the laptop ships with no operating system installed, so you must provide a Windows or Linux licence and a bootable USB stick to set it up.
