14-inch FHD business ultraportable

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0-inch Full HD laptop built for mobile professionals who need a compact, durable chassis. It runs on a dual-core Intel Core i7-6650U processor with a base clock of 2.20 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. Integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 handles the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Ready-to-use DDR4 and NVMe configuration

This unit suits buyers who want 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a fresh 500 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD installed without extra assembly. It is not for users who require more than 16 GB of RAM, additional internal drive bays, a dedicated graphics processor, or a pre-loaded operating system.

No operating system included

The laptop ships with no operating system, so the buyer must supply and install Windows or another OS before the machine is usable. This single condition determines whether the Latitude E7470 fits the intended deployment workflow.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0 inch chassis use a standard M.2 slot for the 500GB NVMe drive?

Yes, the 500GB SSD is an M.2 NVMe PCIe drive installed in the laptop's M.2 slot.

What is the correct order for installing an operating system on a machine that ships with no OS?

Create bootable installation media, enter the BIOS to set the M.2 NVMe drive as the primary boot device, then run the OS installer.

Can the 16GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later if the two slots are already full?

The system supports a maximum of 16GB across two slots, so the installed 16GB DDR4 already reaches the limit and cannot be expanded further.
