Dell Latitude E7470 14″ laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14″ business laptop with a 1600 x 900 HD+ display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a new 128 GB 2.5″ SATA SSD.

Buyers needing a ready-to-use Windows machine

This unit ships without an operating system, so the buyer must supply and install one. The 128 GB drive limits local storage for large media libraries. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 suits office tasks but not modern gaming or heavy 3D work.

128 GB 2.5″ SATA SSD capacity

The installed drive is a 128 GB 2.5″ SATA SSD. That capacity decides whether the laptop can hold the required applications and files. If more space is needed, a larger SATA drive must be sourced separately.

Questions about this item

What operating system must I supply for the Latitude E7470 to boot?

The laptop ships with no operating system, so you must provide and install Windows or another OS yourself before it will start up.

Can I keep using my existing 2.5" SATA drives with the 128GB SSD already fitted?

Yes, the installed 128GB SSD uses a 2.5" SATA connection, so any other 2.5" SATA drive you own will be electrically compatible.

How do I confirm the Intel HD Graphics 520 is active after installing my OS?

After OS installation, open Device Manager and verify that Intel HD Graphics 520 appears under Display adapters without a warning icon.
