Latitude E7470 14" HD+ laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14-inch business laptop with a 1600 x 900 HD+ display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor with a base frequency of 2.20 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. Integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 handles visual output. The system includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a new 128GB 2.5" SATA SSD.

Suits mobile professionals needing a ready system

This laptop suits professionals who need a portable 14-inch device with 16GB of RAM already installed and a fresh solid-state drive. It arrives with no operating system, so the buyer must supply and install their own Windows or Linux licence. Buyers who want more than 128GB of internal storage or a touchscreen display should look at other models.

128GB SATA SSD and no OS installed

The single specification that decides fit is the 128GB 2.5" SATA solid-state drive paired with no pre-installed operating system. This capacity covers a base OS and essential applications but leaves little room for large media libraries. The absent OS means immediate setup work is required before the laptop becomes usable.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 16 GB DDR4 option or add more memory later?

The system ships with 16 GB DDR4 across two slots and the maximum supported is 16 GB, so there is no room for an upgrade.

What does the 2.20 GHz base and 3.40 GHz turbo actually deliver in daily work?

The dual-core i7-6650U runs at 2.20 GHz normally and can boost to 3.40 GHz for short bursts, giving responsive office and web performance.

How fast is the 128 GB SSD on the 2.5" SATA interface?

The 128 GB drive uses a 2.5" SATA connection, so its speed is limited to the SATA bus.
