Dell Latitude E7470 14" FHD Laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0" FHD business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor running at 2.20 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. It comes equipped with 8GB of DDR4 memory across two slots, supporting up to 16 GB total, and a new 240GB 2.5" SATA SSD. The system ships without an operating system installed.

Professionals needing a portable Windows-ready

This unit suits buyers who want a compact 1920 x 1080 non-touch display and Intel Iris Graphics 540 for office applications and media playback. It is not for users who require a pre-installed OS licence, discrete graphics performance, touchscreen input, or storage capacity beyond the single 240GB SATA drive provided.

No operating system included

The laptop arrives with no operating system, so the buyer must supply and install their own Windows or alternative OS before the machine is usable. This single factor determines whether the product fits the workflow; anyone expecting an out-of-box experience should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What interface does the 240GB SSD use, and what speed does it cap at?

The 240GB SSD uses a SATA interface, so throughput is limited to the SATA bus maximum.

What physical drive size and connector does the storage bay accept?

The bay accepts a 2.5 inch SATA drive, matching the 240GB SSD already installed.

How is the operating system installed, and what step is often missed?

No operating system is pre-installed; you must create bootable media and install Windows or another OS yourself.
