14 inch FHD business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a new 2 TB SSD installed in a 2.5 inch SATA bay. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suited for office work not for heavy graphics

This configuration suits professionals who need a portable Windows 10 machine for documents, email and web-based applications with ample onboard storage. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance for rendering, gaming or multi-monitor 4K output should look elsewhere because the system relies on integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 only.

16 GB soldered memory limit

The platform supports a maximum of 16 GB across two slots, and this unit already ships at that ceiling. Anyone anticipating a future memory upgrade beyond 16 GB cannot expand this laptop and should consider a different model.

Questions about this item

Does the i7-6600U run hot or loud when the 14.0" FHD display is driven all day?

The dual-core processor reaches 3.40 GHz under load, and the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 shares the same thermal envelope; the thin 14.0" chassis relies on a single fan that spins up during sustained work.

What must I already own to use the 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD and 16GB DDR4 memory?

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed on the 2TB SSD and both memory slots filled to the 16 GB maximum, so no extra parts are required for basic operation.

Can I keep using my older SATA peripherals with the Latitude E7470?

The 2.5" SATA drive bay accepts standard SATA SSDs or HDDs, letting you reuse existing 2.5" drives without adapters.
