14-inch HD Latitude for OS-free setup

The Dell Latitude E7470 ships with a 14.0-inch 1366 x 768 non-touch display and no operating system installed. Buyers supply their own Windows or Linux licence and handle the installation. A 6th-generation Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor runs at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo. Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the panel.

Best for self-managed software environments

This unit suits technicians, developers or organisations that maintain a standardised OS image and want a clean hardware base. It is not for buyers who need a ready-to-run laptop with a pre-loaded licence. The single 8 GB DDR4 module leaves one slot open, but the 16 GB ceiling rules out heavier memory workloads.

2 TB NVMe M.2 drive as primary storage

A new 2 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD provides the only internal storage. There is no hard-drive bay and no second M.2 slot mentioned, so capacity cannot be expanded internally. Verify that the single 2 TB volume meets the project's data footprint before ordering.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the i7-6600U get when the E7470 runs all day?

The dual-core i7-6600U runs at 2.60 GHz base and 3.40 GHz turbo; Intel HD Graphics 520 shares the same thermal envelope, so sustained loads stay within the ultrabook-class cooling of the 14.0" chassis.

What must I already own to use this Latitude E7470?

No operating system is installed, so you need a Windows or Linux licence and installation media; the 8 GB DDR4 and 2 TB NVMe are already fitted.

Will my older USB-A peripherals and HDMI monitor work with the E7470?

The E7470 provides full-size USB-A and HDMI ports, so legacy keyboards, mice, drives and 1366 x 768 external displays connect without adapters.
