Latitude E7470 14" HD business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0" HD business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. It ships with 8GB DDR4 memory and a new 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. This configuration suits professionals who need a portable machine for office applications and web-based workflows.

New 2TB NVMe SSD and Windows 10 Pro

The factory-fresh 2TB NVMe PCIe solid-state drive provides ample space for large document libraries, local databases and media files without relying on external storage. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and activated, delivering domain-join, BitLocker and remote-desktop capabilities that home editions lack. The 1366 x 768 non-touch display keeps power draw low for mobile use.

Memory slots and display expectations

The system includes two memory slots with a maximum supported capacity of 16 GB, so the installed 8GB can be doubled if your workload demands more headroom. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 14.0" HD panel at its native resolution; buyers needing higher pixel density or colour-critical work should verify the 1366 x 768 screen meets their requirements before ordering.

Questions about this item

Can the 8GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The laptop has two memory slots and supports up to 16 GB of DDR4, so you can add another module or replace both for more capacity.

What limits performance first when the Intel Core i7-6600U runs at 3.40 GHz for long periods?

The dual-core processor and Intel HD Graphics 520 will hit thermal limits before the 2TB NVMe SSD becomes a bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the 14.0" HD chassis get during all-day use?

The compact 14.0 inch frame uses a single fan; expect noticeable warmth near the hinge and moderate fan noise under sustained load.
