Dell Latitude E7470 14" FHD business laptop

This 14.0 inch laptop pairs an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with 8GB DDR4 memory and a new 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit pre-installed. The non-touch FHD panel shows 1920 x 1080 resolution for clear document work and video calls.

Sustained workload behaviour

The i7-6600U runs at 2.60 GHz base frequency and can reach 3.40 GHz turbo when thermal headroom allows. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU. Dual memory slots support up to 16 GB total capacity for future expansion.

16 GB memory ceiling decides fit

Buyers who need more than 16 GB of system memory cannot upgrade this unit beyond that limit. The fixed 8GB configuration suits typical office multitasking but rules out heavy virtualisation or large dataset work.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the i7-6600U get when the Latitude E7470 runs all day?

The dual-core i7-6600U operates at 2.60 GHz base and 3.40 GHz turbo, with Intel HD Graphics 520 integrated. Under sustained load the 14.0" chassis manages heat through its internal cooling design, keeping surface temperatures and fan noise at typical ultrabook levels for office workloads.

What must I already own to use the 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD and 8GB DDR4 in this Latitude E7470?

The 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD and 8GB DDR4 are factory-installed. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-loaded and activated. You only need the supplied AC adapter to power the system; no extra memory modules or storage drives are required for operation.

Will my older USB-A peripherals and external 1080p monitor work with the E7470's ports?

The Latitude E7470 provides standard USB-A ports for legacy mice, keyboards and drives, and its video output supports 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz, so an older 1080p monitor connects directly without adapters.
