Ready for Business Travel

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch laptop with a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor at 2.20 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 16GB DDR4 memory and a 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Windows 10 Pro and Integrated Graphics

The operating system provides business-grade management and security features out of the box. Intel Iris Graphics 540 handles everyday visual tasks and external displays without a discrete GPU. The 500GB NVMe solid-state drive delivers fast boot and application load times. No mechanical hard drive is fitted.

Compact Chassis with Dual Memory Slots

The black chassis houses two memory slots, though the 16GB maximum is already reached. A 720p webcam supports video calls. Bluetooth enables wireless peripheral connections. The M.2 slot is occupied by the boot SSD, leaving no open NVMe bay for storage expansion.

Questions about this item

Can the 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD be swapped for a larger drive later?

Yes, the laptop uses a standard M.2 NVMe PCIe slot, so you can replace the 500GB SSD with a higher-capacity NVMe drive when needed.

What limits performance first during long heavy workloads on the i7-6650U?

The dual-core processor reaches its thermal and power limits first, causing clocks to drop from the 3.40 GHz turbo toward the 2.20 GHz base under sustained load.

How loud and hot does the E7470 get when running all day?

The 14.0" chassis with Intel Iris Graphics 540 stays relatively quiet; fans spin up under load but settle to a low hum during typical office use.
