Built for Mobile Professionals

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0 inch business laptop with a 1600 x 900 HD+ display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor reaching 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB DDR4 memory and a new 128GB SSD with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed.

Suits Everyday Office Work

This configuration handles standard productivity, web browsing and video conferencing with the integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540. Buyers who need dedicated graphics performance for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. Users requiring more than 16 GB of total memory or a touchscreen interface will not find those features here.

The 128GB SATA SSD Decides Fit

The boot drive is a 2.5 inch SATA solid-state drive with 128GB capacity. It provides fast start-up and application loading compared to mechanical disks. Anyone needing larger local storage for media libraries or large project files must plan for an external drive or internal upgrade.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise does the Core i7-6650U produce under continuous load?

The dual-core processor runs at 2.20 GHz base and 3.40 GHz turbo, drawing modest power for a 14.0" ultrabook chassis; typical office workloads keep the fan quiet while sustained heavy tasks raise temperatures enough to spin the fan audibly.

Which peripherals or cables must I already own to use the 128 GB SSD and 8 GB DDR4 memory?

The 2.5" SATA SSD and DDR4 SO-DIMMs are internal components; no extra cables or adapters are required — just a Phillips screwdriver if you later open the chassis for upgrades.

Will the Intel Iris Graphics 540 drive my older 1600 x 900 monitor over VGA without adapters?

The laptop outputs video through its own 14.0" 1600 x 900 panel and standard display ports; connecting an external VGA monitor requires the appropriate adapter or dock, which is not included.
