Dell Latitude E7470 14-inch FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0-inch Full HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a new 500GB SATA SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Suited to mobile professionals needing a light

This configuration suits office work, web browsing and video calls on the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The 8GB memory limit also rules out heavy virtualisation or large creative projects.

500GB SSD and 16GB maximum memory headroom

The 500GB drive holds the operating system and a typical business document library with room to spare. Memory can be doubled to 16GB using the two available slots, giving headroom for heavier multitasking. Beyond that ceiling the platform cannot expand.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.5-inch SATA SSD fit in my existing drive caddy?

The 500 GB SSD uses a standard 2.5-inch SATA form factor, so it fits any caddy or bay designed for that size.

Can I keep my current 8 GB DDR4 module and add another to reach 16 GB?

The laptop has two DDR4 slots and supports up to 16 GB total, so adding a matching 8 GB stick will max out the memory.

How do I confirm the Intel HD Graphics 520 is active after installing Windows 10 Pro 64-bit?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and verify Intel HD Graphics 520 appears without a warning icon.
