Genuine Dell OEM LCD Back Cover Lid Y107K

This is a genuine Dell OEM replacement lid for the Inspiron Mini 10 and 10v netbooks. It restores the original Thunder Green finish on compatible devices. The assembly includes the back cover and integrated wireless antenna cables for WLAN and WWAN connectivity. Buyers needing a different colour or a lid without antenna cables cannot use this part.

Practical limits of this replacement part

The lid fits only the Inspiron Mini 10 model 1010 and the Inspiron Mini 10v model 1011. It will not align with other Dell Mini 10 variants or any other laptop series. The integrated antenna cables are routed for the specific WLAN and WWAN modules used in those two models. Owners of differently configured units must verify their exact model number before ordering.

Installation notes and common issues

Replacing the lid requires disassembling the display panel, which involves removing the bezel, hinges and screen assembly. The four antenna cables must be threaded through the chassis exactly as the originals were routed to maintain signal quality. A common mistake is pinching a cable during reassembly, which causes intermittent wireless drops. Patience and careful cable management are essential for a successful repair.
