Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 5530 pairs a 10-core Intel Core i7-1265U with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. It targets users who need reliable Windows 11 Pro performance for office applications, video calls and light content creation while travelling.

Thermals and acoustics in daily use

The 15.6-inch chassis manages heat from the 1.80 to 4.80 GHz processor during typical workloads. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics keep power draw modest, so fan noise stays low during document editing, browsing or 720p conferencing.

Build, ports and daily connectivity

A Titan Gray finish covers the 3.5 kg frame. Two USB Type-C and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports handle peripherals, while HDMI 2.0 drives an external display at 60Hz. RJ45 Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 cover wired and wireless networks, and a microSD slot adds removable storage.

Questions about this item

How do I install the M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD and which step is often missed?

The 512GB drive fits the M.2 2280 slot; the step often missed is securing it with the tiny retaining screw before closing the chassis.

What maintenance will the 16GB DDR4 3200MHz memory need later?

The memory is soldered and not user-upgradable; no routine maintenance is required beyond keeping vents clear for thermal performance.

What limit appears first during sustained loads on the i7-1265U 10-core processor?

The 15W base power envelope causes thermal throttling before the 4.80GHz turbo can be maintained across all cores.
