Mobile workstation for ISV-certified tasks

The Dell Precision M7520 is a refurbished 15.6-inch laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6820HQ quad-core processor running at 2.7 GHz with 3.6 GHz turbo. It carries 16 GB of DDR4-2400 memory and a 512 GB SSD, while an NVIDIA Quadro M1200 with 4 GB GDDR5 drives the 1920 x 1080 anti-glare TN panel at 60 Hz. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed for immediate deployment in professional software environments.

Single-device workflow with multi-display reach

One Thunderbolt 3 type-C port, three USB 3.0 ports with PowerShare, HDMI and a Mini DisplayPort connector let you attach external monitors, storage and peripherals without a dock. The integrated RJ45 jack provides wired network access, and the SD card reader ingests media directly. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 handles wireless connectivity, while the 45 W CPU and dual-fan thermal design keep sustained loads stable inside the 6.0000 kg chassis.

Ready-to-run professional software stack

Windows 10 Professional activates the full ISV-certified driver set for the Quadro M1200, so certified applications launch without additional driver hunting. The 720p webcam and headphone jack support remote collaboration out of the box. No optical drive is included, so installation media or recovery tools must be supplied via USB or network. The 512 GB SSD leaves room for project files, but archival workloads will need external storage.

Questions about this item

Will the Intel Core i7-6820HQ 45 W processor throttle during long rendering jobs?

The quad-core CPU runs at a 45 W base power with a 3.60 GHz turbo; Dell's dual-fan design is built to sustain that load without rapid throttling.

How loud do the dual cooling fans get when the NVIDIA Quadro M1200 runs flat out all day?

The patented fifth-generation dual fans move enough air to keep the 45 W CPU and discrete GPU stable, so noise stays at a moderate office level even under continuous load.

Does the Thunderbolt 3 port supply power so I can skip carrying the barrel charger?

The single Thunderbolt 3 Type-C port carries data and video only; the 6.0 kg system still requires its dedicated barrel-type power adapter for charging.
