Micro Form Factor desktop with 20-core i7

The DELL Micro QCM1250 is a Micro Form Factor desktop built around an Intel Core i7-14700 processor with 20 cores and a 5.40 GHz maximum turbo frequency. It ships with 48GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, and a wired keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Integrated graphics and single M.2 slot limits

The system uses Intel UHD Graphics 770, which drives displays through one DisplayPort 1.4a and one HDMI 2.1 output. Storage expansion relies on the single M.2 PCIe NVMe slot already occupied by the 2TB drive. Wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 6E AX211 with Bluetooth, while wired networking uses a Gigabit Ethernet port.

Check monitor inputs and peripheral ports before

Verify that your display accepts DisplayPort 1.4a or HDMI 2.1 signals, as no other video outputs are present. The front panel offers one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port at 10 Gbps, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port and a headset jack. The rear provides two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and the RJ45 jack.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 48 GB DDR5 option or add more memory later?

The system ships with 48 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz already installed, covering most business and education workloads without an immediate upgrade.

What does the 5.40 GHz turbo figure mean when I am actually working?

The Core i7-14700 can boost up to 5.40 GHz on demanding threads, giving short bursts of extra speed for compiles or large spreadsheets before settling at lower clocks.

Does the Wi-Fi 6E AX211 cap my wireless speed in a real office?

The AX211 2x2 card supports 802.11ax on the 6 GHz band, so throughput is limited by your router and channel width rather than the adapter itself.
