Dell PowerEdge R610 717W power supply

This new Dell power supply delivers 717 watts for PowerEdge R610 servers. It uses the Dell MP126 0MP126 form factor and model A717P-00. The unit weighs 2.0 pound and is ready for immediate installation.

Suited for R610 owners replacing a failed

Builders working on other Dell servers or non-Dell platforms should look elsewhere because the connector layout and chassis keying are specific to the R610. Buyers who need redundant hot-swap modules must confirm their chassis supports dual supplies before ordering.

Steady 717-watt output under continuous server loads

The switching design maintains rated power during sustained compute tasks without the voltage droop seen in short-burst tests. Thermal protection engages only if airflow is restricted, so clean intake filters keep the supply running at full capacity.

Questions about this item

What Dell server chassis is required for the 0MP126 717-watt supply to fit and power on?

It is built for the PowerEdge R610, so that chassis must be present for the unit to seat and deliver power.

Can the RN442 717-watt unit share a PowerEdge R610 with an older lower-watt supply?

The R610 supports redundant hot-plug supplies; matching wattage is recommended but the bay will accept the 717-watt module alongside an existing unit.

How do I confirm the A717P-00 is delivering 717 watts after installation?

The green AC-OK and DC-OK LEDs on the supply faceplate should both be lit, and the iDRAC or front-panel LCD will report the supply as present and healthy.
