Dell N9KXD 14" LCD Ribbon Cable

Genuine Dell OEM video ribbon cable for 14-inch Inspiron laptops without touchscreen panels. Compatible models include the 3421, 3437, 5421 and 5437 series. Part number N9KXD matches Wistron DNE40 LVDS cable 50.4XP 02.011.

Fits non-touch Inspiron 14 and 14R chassis

Connects the motherboard to the LCD panel inside the display assembly. Requires a non-touchscreen LCD panel and the matching hinge brackets already present in the listed models. Frees the builder from sourcing a touchscreen-compatible cable that would not function.

Replaces a damaged or missing original cable

Upgrades from a frayed, pinched or corroded ribbon that causes flicker, lines or no image. The jump is worth it when the panel itself tests good but the video link has failed. Not for touchscreen-equipped Inspiron 14 or 14R variants.

Questions about this item

What maximum resolution does the 14" LCD ribbon cable support on an Inspiron 3421?

The cable carries the native panel signal for 14" non-touch displays; resolution is set by the LCD panel itself, not by the ribbon.

How much heat does the N9KXD cable generate during continuous laptop use?

It is a passive flex assembly with no active components, so it produces no measurable heat of its own.

Which laptop models must I already own for this N9KXD cable to fit?

It fits Dell Inspiron 14 (3421), Inspiron 14R (5421), Inspiron 14 (3437) and Inspiron 14R (5437) without touchscreen.
