Dell Latitude E5450 14.0″ Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0″ business laptop built for professionals who need a reliable mobile workhorse. It runs Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit on an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor at 2.30 GHz with 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD. The 1366 x 768 non-touch screen and Grade A condition make it ready for everyday office tasks.

Fits a mobile office setup

This unit includes internal speakers and a standard keyboard layout in a thin, light chassis designed for mobility. The solid-state drive and 8 GB of memory handle typical business workloads without extra drives or memory modules. No webcam is fitted, so video calls require an external camera. The 64-bit operating system supports current business applications out of the box.

Suits professionals needing a portable Windows 10

Buyers who want a compact 14″ laptop with a 5th generation Core i5, 256 GB SSD and Windows 10 Pro will find this configuration matches that need. Users who require a built-in webcam, a higher-resolution display, a touchscreen or more than 8 GB of memory should look at other models.

Questions about this item

Will the dual-core i5-5300U at 2.30 GHz throttle first when I run heavy workloads all day?

Yes, the 2.30 GHz dual-core processor will hit its thermal and power ceiling before other components, so sustained loads drop clock speeds to stay within limits.

How loud and hot does the E5450 get during an eight-hour workday?

The 14.0 inch chassis uses a single fan; under continuous load the fan spins up audibly and the magnesium-alloy deck becomes warm but stays within normal operating range.

Which peripherals must I already own because the laptop lacks them?

There is no built-in webcam, so you need an external camera for video calls; the 1366 x 768 non-touch screen and 8 GB of memory are fixed, so plan around those.
