Refurbished Precision 7510 workstation

This Dell Precision 7510 is a refurbished mobile workstation powered by an Intel Core i7-6820HQ quad-core processor at 2.70 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of memory and a 240 GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The 15.6-inch non-touch FHD panel shows 1920 x 1080 resolution. Cosmetic wear includes possible dents, chips, scuffs, a shiny keyboard and hairline screen scratches.

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and 16 GB memory

The pre-installed Windows 10 Pro 64-bit operating system is ready to use without extra licensing steps. Sixteen gigabytes of system memory allows multiple professional applications to stay open at once. The 240 GB solid-state drive provides the boot volume and primary storage in a single device. No additional accessories or software bundles are mentioned in the supplied data.

240 GB SSD capacity and quad-core headroom

The 240 GB drive holds the operating system, core applications and a moderate project library before space becomes tight. Four cores at 2.70 GHz handle typical CAD, modelling and multitasking workloads within the thermal envelope of a 15.6-inch chassis. Users who need more local storage or higher multi-thread throughput will find the fixed storage and processor ceiling limiting.

Questions about this item

How long does the 240 GB SSD typically last before it needs replacement?

The 240 GB solid-state drive has no moving parts, so it generally lasts for years; its endurance depends on how many terabytes you write to it over time.

What component hits its limit first when the Intel Core i7-6820HQ runs at 2.70 GHz for long periods?

The quad-core processor reaches its thermal ceiling first, causing the firmware to lower clock speeds to keep the chip within safe temperatures.

How loud and hot does the 15.6 inch FHD workstation get when it runs all day?

Under sustained load the cooling fan spins up to an audible level and the keyboard deck becomes warm to the touch as the system dissipates heat from the CPU.
