Refurbished Dell Latitude E7470

This refurbished Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0-inch business laptop running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. It targets professionals who need a portable machine for office applications, email and web-based workflows. The system ships with 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB solid-state drive. No optical drive, webcam or touchscreen is included.

Sustained workload behaviour

The dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U processor runs at a base frequency of 2.6 GHz with integrated graphics. Under continuous multi-tasking the U-series chip will throttle to stay within its thermal envelope, so extended compiles or large spreadsheet recalculations run slower than short bursts. The 16 GB of RAM keeps many browser tabs and documents resident without swapping to the 512 GB SSD.

Display and storage interface limits

The non-touch Full HD panel has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, so external monitors above that resolution will be scaled or letterboxed. The solid-state drive uses an M.2 form factor; its maximum throughput is bounded by the PCIe lane allocation and controller of the 6th-generation platform. Buyers who need a built-in webcam, touchscreen input or an optical drive must add peripherals.

Questions about this item

Does the Core i7-6600U run hot or loud during a full workday?

The 2.6 GHz dual-core processor is built for ultra-low power envelopes, so the fan stays quiet under typical office loads and the chassis remains comfortable on a desk.

What cables or peripherals are required to start working with this E7470?

Only the supplied AC adapter is essential; the laptop includes a 14.0" 1920 x 1080 non-touch screen, integrated speakers and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, so no external monitor, keyboard or mouse is mandatory.

Will my older USB-A accessories and VGA projector work with this Latitude?

Yes — the E7470 retains full-size USB-A ports and native VGA output, letting you connect legacy flash drives, mice and projectors without adapters.
