Replacement lamp for NEC projectors

The DELL NEC NP-PE401HJD module ships as a complete housing with a new 330 W Ushio NSH bulb inside, so it fits directly into compatible NEC projectors without extra assembly. It is intended for owners of those projectors who need a factory-specification light source when the original lamp reaches end of life.

Simple housing swap with aligned connectors

Installation consists of removing the old lamp cage and sliding the new module into place until the connector seats; no wiring or bulb handling is required. The only common issue is forgetting to reset the projector’s lamp-hour counter after fitting the module, which leaves the replacement warning active.

330 W output with dual-mode life ratings

In normal mode the lamp delivers 2 500 hours of rated operation, while economy mode extends that to 3 300 hours at reduced brightness. The fixed 330 W power draw means the unit cannot be dimmed further for longer life, so venues needing significantly more hours between changes will need a different projector platform.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 330W Ushio NSH lamp is operating correctly after installation?

The projector should display normal brightness and the lamp-hour counter will begin tracking toward the 2,500-hour normal or 3,300-hour economy ratings.

What components are included in the NP-PE401HJD module and is anything else required?

The module ships as a fully assembled bulb-and-housing unit ready for direct installation; no separate parts are needed.

Which of the four available versions of the NP-PE401HJD should I select for my NEC projector?

All four versions — three OEM-sourced and one compatible — are built to the same 330W specification and 2,500/3,300-hour life ratings, so any version will fit and perform to the stated figures.
