NEC NP17LP Compatible Lamp — What It Is

This replacement projector lamp module fits the NEC NP-UM330WiJL projector and ships as a complete assembly with a 265W UHP bulb inside its housing. It is built for classrooms, meeting rooms or home users who need a direct swap without extra tools. The lamp is new and manufactured to ISO9001 quality standards using genuine OEM components.

Check Your Projector Before Ordering

Confirm that your unit is the NEC NP-UM330WiJL model so the NP17LP module matches the socket and housing dimensions. Verify the existing lamp uses a 265W UHP bulb, as other wattages will not fit or ignite correctly. This lamp is not for projectors that require a different lamp code or a higher-wattage module.

Sustained Operation Behaviour

In normal mode the lamp delivers up to 3000 hours of runtime before brightness drops to half its initial output. Switching to economy mode extends that figure to 3500 hours while reducing power draw and heat. Both ratings assume continuous operation with proper ventilation; frequent on-off cycles will shorten the effective life.

Questions about this item

Does the NP17LP lamp ship with the housing so I can install it straight away?

Yes, the module arrives fully assembled with a new 265W UHP bulb inside the housing, ready for direct installation.

Which NP17LP version should I pick — OEM, OEM compatible or third-party?

Choose the OEM version for the original Philips, Osram, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita bulb; the OEM compatible uses a different OEM bulb; the third-party version uses genuine OEM parts at lower cost.

What does the 3,000-hour normal rating mean for daily classroom use?

At 3,000 hours normal mode, running four hours every weekday gives roughly three school years before the lamp needs replacing.
