Micro Tower Business Desktop

The DELL OptiPlex 7000 Micro Tower is a refurbished business desktop equipped with an Intel Core i5-12500 6-core processor, 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse. Intel UHD Graphics 770 provides the video output through two DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.

Suited for general office work not for discrete

This system suits office environments that need a compact Micro Tower for everyday productivity, web-based applications and multi-monitor setups using the integrated graphics. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card or additional internal drive bays should look at a larger chassis because the small form factor does not accommodate full-height expansion cards or extra 3.5-inch drives.

512 GB NVMe SSD determines storage headroom

The single 512 GB NVMe SSD is the primary storage device and its capacity decides whether the machine can hold the required operating system, applications and local data without adding external drives. If the workload demands more internal space, a different configuration or an external solution will be necessary.

Questions about this item

How long can the Intel Core i5-12500 sustain its 6-core workload before thermal limits throttle performance?

The 6-core Intel Core i5-12500 with 18 MB L3 cache runs inside a Micro Tower chassis measuring 7.17" x 1.4" x 7" and weighing 2.5 lbs, so sustained loads will hit the cooling capacity of that compact enclosure first.

What are the typical noise and heat levels when the system runs all day with the Intel UHD Graphics 770 active?

The Micro Tower form factor measuring 7.17" x 1.4" x 7" houses the Intel UHD Graphics 770 and 6-core processor; fan noise and case temperature will rise under continuous use as the small volume limits airflow.

Which display cables must I already own to connect monitors to the two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs?

The back panel provides 2 x DisplayPort 1.4 video ports, so you need DisplayPort cables or DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapters for each monitor you plan to attach.
