Tiny business desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 7000 Micro is a compact desktop built for office environments. It ships new with Windows 11 Pro and an Intel Core i5-10500T six-core processor running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.8 GHz turbo boost. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB SSD for fast storage. Integrated graphics, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are built in, and a keyboard and mouse are included.

Build integration

The tiny form factor fits on a desk shelf or mounts behind a monitor using a compatible VESA bracket. A single 1 TB SSD handles the operating system and data without additional drive bays. 32 GB of DDR4 memory is installed, leaving no free slots for expansion. Gigabit Ethernet at 10/100/1000 Mbps provides wired connectivity alongside wireless. No display is included, so a separate monitor is required.

Suitability

This configuration suits businesses deploying standard productivity workstations with ample memory and solid-state speed. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for design or engineering workloads should look elsewhere. The compact chassis limits internal upgrade paths for storage or add-in cards. Organisations requiring a larger tower for multiple drives or specialised expansion cards will need a different form factor.

Questions about this item

Will the i5-10500T throttle at its 3.8 GHz turbo speed inside the 7000 Micro case?

The six-core processor runs at 2.3 GHz base and can reach 3.8 GHz with Turbo Boost; sustained loads in the tiny form factor will trigger thermal management.

How loud is the fan and how hot does the chassis get during all-day operation?

The compact design uses a small internal fan; expect audible airflow under continuous load and a warm exterior surface after hours of use.

Do I need to supply my own monitor, keyboard and mouse to use this desktop?

The listing states a monitor is not included while a keyboard and mouse are included, so only a display must be provided separately.
